Homemade Burrito Recipes To Satisfy Your Mexican Cravings!

Burritos are one of those evergreen meals that never cease to get old! Whether you prefer your burritos stuffed with salsa, chicken sausage, or pick your burrito with bacon – there are endless ways to customise this famous Mexican cuisine.   1. Breakfast Burrito

  1. Take an oversized bowl and whisk the milk, coriander, salt, eggs, and cream mixture. Keep this aside and heat the oil with onion, red pepper, tomato, and kidney beans over a large skillet on medium flame
  2. Keep pouring the egg mixture over your beans and stir it occasionally from time to time
  3. You may then add the cheese cubes – wait till it gets melted on the mixture. Season this mixture with pepper powder and salt, stir one last time to blend everything
  4. Heat a pan or tawa and warm the tortillas over medium flame
  5. Take some of the mixtures and keep pouring and placing it from the bottom of the tawa to the centre of the tortillas
  6. After this, fold the bottom of the tortilla over the filling and fold both the edges
  7. Form a tight cylinder by rolling it entirely to the top and keep repeating this process with the rest of the ingredients
  8. Heat these either in the microwave or on the pan before serving.

2. Lamb Burritos

  1. Rub the lamb with taco seasoning after chopping them into halves
  2. Add some oil in the pressure cooker and place the pre-marinated lamb chops 
  3. Now, add the chillies, onion, and vinegar to the steaks. Cover these for at least 8 to 9 hours and simmer them over a low flame. Cook the lamb until it’s nice and tender
  4. Once the meat is tender, shred the lamb with the help of a fork
  5. Take the tortillas and add approximately ½ cup of meat mixture in each of them
  6. Garnish these with tomato, sour cream, and cheese
  7. Once you are done, fold the sides and the bottom of the tortillas over the filling and then roll-up! 

3. Shredded Lamb Filling in Burrito

  1. Combine the lamb and broth in a 6 – qt slow cooker and cook for at least 6-8 hours until the meat is tender
  2. Discard the juices post removing the meat. Shred with a couple of forks and then return to the slow cooker
  3. Add the onion and jalapenos in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until the onions and jalapeno softens for at least 3 to 4 minutes
  4. Now, add your garlic and the other seasoning, and continue cooking for 1 minute
  5. Stir in the salsa and the crushed tomatoes while boiling it and pour this mixture over the shredded lamb
  6. Cover this mixture and cook it on high flame until it gets heated for about one hour
