Rainy days are often synonymous with delicious snack time! Between the chill in the air and the warmth of your blankets, some quick, delicious snacks are a must.
- Veggie Bread Cutlet
The good old bread cutlet has been the solution for so many hunger pangs. Get cooking in the kitchen and get ready for the rains with a hot plate of these beauties!
Ingredients:
- 3 To 4 L’Exclusif White Bread slices
- 2 Tsp chopped Nature’s Best Coriander Leaves
- 1 chopped green chilli
- 1/2 Tsp chopped ginger
- 1 Tsp Healthy Alternatives Lake Salt Powder
- 1/4 Tsp garam masala powder
- 1 pinch Healthy Alternatives Organic Turmeric Powder
- 1 pinch Healthy Alternatives Organic Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 cup onion finely chopped
- 1/2 cup carrot grated
- 1/2 cup zucchini grated
Instructions:
- Start by heating the oil in a frying pan
- Fry all the vegetables in the pan for about 5 minutes
- Add salt to the vegetables and continue frying till they become soft
- In another bowl, dip the bread in water and remove it immediately
- Squeeze out the excess water from the bread and add the bread to the fried vegetables and spices
- Make equal sized balls from the mixture and shape them into small cutlets
- Deep fry the balls till they become golden brown
- Serve with ketchup
- Cheese Toast

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (grated)
- 8 slice L’Exclusif Brown Bread
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
- olive oil as required
- 1/2 teaspoon Nature’s Black Pepper Powder
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 2 medium tomatoes
- 2 medium green capsicums
- 1 green chilli finely chopped
Instructions:
- Start with preheating the oven to 170°C
- Heat ½ cup milk in a saucepan, add the cheese to it and cook
- Cut 4 bread slices into triangles. Drizzle a little olive oil over them and bake them in a preheated oven
- Make breadcrumbs with the remaining bread in a blender
- Now add the mustard, black pepper, and butter to the milk-cheese mixture and mix well
- Cut the tomatoes into round slices
- Once the cheese melts, add the bread crumbs and mix well
- Cut the green capsicums into big pieces and press lightly
- Remove the toasted bread triangles from the oven. Place a capsicum piece and a tomato round on each triangle
- Spread cheese sauce generously over the vegetables
- Sprinkle green chillies on top and toast it in the oven till the cheese bubbles and turns a light golden colour
- Hot Dog Roll-Ups
In the rain, some hot hotdog roll-ups are a must! This delicious chicken dish is the kind of snack that one must eat on a rainy day.
Ingredients:
- 8 hot dogs
- 1 block (4 ounces) cheddar cheese, cut into 8 strips
- 2 baconstrips, cooked and cut
- 1 tube (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls
Instructions:
- Cut a slit in each of the hotdogs, lengthwise
- Fill the slit with a strip of cheese and about 1/2 teaspoon of bacon
- Separate the crescent dough into 8 triangles and wrap the hotdogs in them
- Place them ‘cheese side up’ on an ungreased baking sheet
- Bake at 375° until they become golden brown
- Serve with ketchup and mustard sauce
