These dishes are super easy and anyone in the house can make it. Read on to prepare easy recipes to cook during the quarantine period with your family.
- Two Ingredient Pizza Dough
Two ingredients pizza dough? Totally possible! Read on to fulfill your pizza cravings with this easy recipe.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups self-raising flour
- 1 cup full-fat Greek yoghurt
- 2 tbsp of pizza sauce
- Mozzarella for topping
Instructions:
- Mix flour and Greek yogurt together in a bowl;transfer to a work surface floured with self-rising flour
- Knead the dough, adding more flour as needed to keep the dough from being too sticky, for 8 to 10 minutes
- Spray a 12-inch pizza pan with cooking spray and spread dough to edges of the pan
- Now, apply the pizza sauce and shred some mozzarella cheese on the top
- Place it in the oven or pan to cook!
2. Banana Bread
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- ¼ tsp of salt
- ½ tsp of ground cinnamon
- ½ cup of unsalted butter
- ¾ cup of dark brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- ⅓ cup of yoghurt
- 2 cups of mashed bananas
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Start by preheating the oven to 177 degrees Celsius and grease a loaf pan
- In a large bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon together
- In a mixer, blend together butter and brown sugar until well combined
- On high speed, add one egg at a time and continue blending
- Add in the yoghurt, mashed bananas and vanilla extract and continue mixing
- Make sure you mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and mix them until well combined
- Now, spoon the batter into the loaf pan and loosely cover with aluminium foil
- Allow it to bake for at least 60 minutes
- Insert a toothpick into the bread to check if it’s cooked
- If it comes out clean which means it’s ready to eat!
3. Dalgona Coffee
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp of instant coffee
- 2 tbsp of sugar
- 1 tsp of hot water
- ½ cup of milk – room temperature
- Ice cubes
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, whisk together – coffee, sugar and drop of hot water
- Mix until the coffee mixture transforms into a thick cream
- Make sure the consistency of the cream has reached soft peaks
- In a glass of cold milk, add in the ice cubes and top it with a dollop of the coffee mixture
- Garnish with choco chips or coffee powder if needed
- Serve chilled!
4. Spaghetti Aglio Olio
Simple, elegant and made with minimal ingredients. Prepare this spaghetti Aglio olio at the comfort of your home.
Ingredients:
- 1 pack of spaghetti
- 6 cloves of garlic
- ½ cup of olive oil
- ¼ tsp of red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook 1 minute less than al dente, about 9 minutes or according to package instructions
- Reserve 2 cups of the cooking water. Drain the pasta and set it aside
- Meanwhile, heat 3 tablespoons of the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat until shimmering
- Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until the garlic just begins to turn light golden-brown, 2 to 3 minutes
- Remove the pan from the heat if the pasta is not ready
- Add the pasta water to the skillet and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat
- Simmer until the liquid is reduced by half, about 5 minutes
- Add the spaghetti and toss continuously until the sauce thickens and coats the pasta, 1 to 2 minutes
- Remove from heat, stir in the parsley and remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil, and toss to combine
- Serve immediately, topping with plenty of grated cheese.
