Easy Pie Recipes To Make From Scratch

Baking a pie around the holidays is pretty intimidating. How are you supposed to compete with grandma’s legacy, anyway? Luckily, even if you are a pie newbie, these super easy pies which will make you look like a pro. Read on to create these easy and delicious pies at home!

  1. Nutella Brownie Pie

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Line a 9-inch baking pan with pie dough
  3. In a large bowl or stand mixer, beat Nutella and eggs together, adding one egg at a time
  4. Whip until smooth and fully incorporated before adding the next one
  5. Pour into prepared crust
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the center is soft but not jiggly
  7. Remove and cool slightly
  8. Serve warm or at room temperature.

2. Chocolate Mousse Pie with Pretzel Crust

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions:

  1.  Spray a standard-sized pie pan with nonstickbaking spray and set aside
  2.  In a small bowl, mix together crushedpretzels, melted butter, and sugar until well combined
  3.  Press mixture into the prepared pie pan, thenplace pan in freezer to chill for 10 minutes
  4. In a stand mixerfitted with the whisk attachment, beat whipping cream until soft peaks form
  5. Add powdered sugarand vanilla to the cream, whip until combined, then spoon 2 cups of the whippedcream into a small bowl, set aside
  6. In a mediummicrowave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips until smooth
  7.  Allow to cool slightly, until the meltedchocolate is cool to the touch, then slowly add it to the remaining whippingcream, mixing it slowly with the stand mixer until smooth and fluffy
  8. Spoon chocolatemousse mixture into the pretzel pie crust
  9. Top with remainingwhipped cream. Refrigerate until mousse sets up
  10. Serve slices of piedrizzled with caramel sauce and a sprinkling of sea salt
  11. Add whole pretzelsticks, too, if desired.

3. Twix Slab Pie

Ingredients:

1 box of piecrust

4 ½ cups ofmilk

2 cups darkchocolate chips

1 cup whippedcream

¼ cup caramelsauce

5 packetsof twix cookie bars,  coarselychopped

Instructions:

  1. Heat oven to 450°F. Remove pie crusts from pouches
  2. On lightly floured surface, unroll and stack crusts one on top of the other
  3. Roll to 17×12-inch rectangle. Fit crust into 15x10x1-inch pan, pressing firmly into corners and sides
  4. Fold extra crust under, even with edges of pan. Using fork, prick all over bottom and sides
  5. Bake 9 to 12 minutes or until golden brown and completely baked. Cool completely
  6. Meanwhile, in 4-quart saucepan, cook milk and pudding mix over medium heat 12 to 15 minutes or until mixture comes to a full boil, stirring constantly
  7. Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips; stir until melted and smooth
  8. Pour onto baked crust. Spread out
  9. Refrigerate about 3 hours or until set
  10. When ready to serve, spread whipped topping on pudding layer
  11. Drizzle with caramel; sprinkle chopped bars over top
  12. Store covered in refrigerator.
