With summer right around the corner, there is no question that drinking water frequently is vital to keep ourselves hydrated and maintain good health. While water always does the trick to keep our energy levels in check, infused water is an interesting and incredible way that totally hits the spot on hot summer days.  These simple recipes require minimum effort and make up for refreshments when the sun is out and about. The best part about infused water is that you can combine your favourite fruits and vegetables, and experiment with them.

  1. Take fresh watermelon pieces, fresh mint leaves, ginger along with lemon and combine them in a large pitcher or mason jar
  2. Add the water and ice cubes

  1. Add several orange slices, blackberries, and a couple of lemon slice in a pitcher or carafe
  2. Add the water and ice cubes
  3. Keep it in the refrigerator overnight. The flavour gets enhanced by the next day.
  4. Serve and enjoy!

3. Strawberry Infused Water

  1. Combine the strawberries, basil leaves, cucumber and lemon in a large container
  2. Add the water and ic ecubes
  3. Store it in there frigerator for 2 hours or more for a better taste. Water keeps the citrus in the fruits intact for up to 3 days

4. Mango Infused Water

Ingredients:

  • 1 peeled and diced mango
  • A handful of freshly torn mint leaves
  • A ½ cup of raspberries

Instructions:

  1. Stow the mango, mint leaves and raspberries in a mason jar or pitcher
  2. Add the water and ice cubes
  3. Keep it inside the refrigerator for 20 minutes to infuse.
