  1. Apple Pie Bars

Worrying about making a pie for a big group of people? These apple pie bars will have you sorted. Not only is this an innovative take on your classic Apple Pie, but this delicious snack will also have your guests asking for more. Read on to make it:


  • Cooking Spray
  • 1 cup, butter softened
  • ½ cup. Granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup. Brown sugar
  • 2 ½ cup. All-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp. kosher salt
  • 6 apples, peeled and sliced
  • Juice of ½ a lemon
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract


  1. Preheat oven to 350° and line a 9’-x-13’ pan with parchment then grease with cooking spray. In a large bowl using a hand mixer, beat butter and sugars together until light and fluffy
  2. Now, add flour and salt and mix until combined
  3. Press into the prepared pan about 1/2’ upsides. Bake until lightly golden, 20 minutes
  4. In a large bowl, toss apples, lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt together
  5. Now, spread apples over crust
  6. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, pecans, brown sugar, and salt. Stir in melted butter until coarse lumps form
  7. Sprinkle crumb topping over apples and bake until top is golden and apples are soft for about 1 hour
  8. Let cool for at least 15 minutes, then slice into squares and drizzle with caramel before serving.

2.  German Apple Cake

The popular American classic, Apple Pie is a must-try at least once in your life. But have you given the classic german apple pie a try? Read on to prepare this version of an apple pie.



  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius and grease it with the flour in the cake pan
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat oil and eggs with an electric mixer until creamy
  3. Now, add in the sugar and vanilla and beat well
  4. Combine the flour, salt, baking soda, and ground cinnamon together in a mixing bowl
  5. Slowly add the mixture to the egg mixture and mix until well combined
  6. Make sure the consistency of the batter is thick
  7. Now, fold in the apples by hand using a wooden spoon and spread into prepared pan
  8. Bake at 175 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes or until cake tests are done
  9. Allow the cake to cool on a wire rack and once cooled, serve with a dusting of confectioners’ sugar or with cream cheese frosting.

  1. Start by preheating the oven to 175 degrees Celsius
  2. Now, add the sliced apples to the baking dish. Add a dash of lemon juice on top of the apples and toss to coat them evenly
  3. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the flour, sugars and spices
  4. Now, add in the cold butter and work the dry ingredients in the butter
  5. Make sure the consistency of the mixture is crumbly with little to no dry ingredients left
  6. Sprinkle the topping over the apples evenly
  7. Now, cover with aluminium foil and cook in a preheated oven for 40 minutes
  8. Remove the foil and let it continue cooking until the topping is crisp for about 10-12 minutes
  9. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream to take that apple brown betty up a notch!
