  1. Salmon and Red Grape Agro dolce

Believe us, this one is just as fancy as it sounds and you don’t have to shell out a bomb in a gourmet restaurant to get a taste of it! Salmon and red grape agro dolce is your perfect appetizer as a party starter. You can serve it at a cocktail party, or at the brunch, these can surely make your party conversational. Read on to know how to make it:



  1. Preheat the broiler and place the salmon fillets skin-side down on a foil-lined baking sheet
  2. Now, rub the herbs and sprinkle the salt and pepper
  3. Allow it to boil for 10 minutes or until desired and it is well done
  4. Now, set it aside and make sure to keep it warm
  5. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a skillet over a medium heat
  6. Add the onions and sauté for about 8 minutes until golden brown and slightly softened
  7. Now, add the grapes, balsamic vinegar, salt and bring it to a boil
  8. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes, until reduced a little
  9. Plate the fish, leaving the skin behind and top with the onion-grape mixture and serve immediately.

2. Fruit and Spinach Salad


  • 2 cups fresh baby spinach
  • 1 snack-sized cup mandarin oranges
  • 1/3 cup seedless red grapes, halved
  • ¼ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tsps. Chopped walnuts
  • 1 green onion
  • ¼ cup oil and vinegar salad dressing


  1. To make this salad, take a bowl, and combine spinach, oranges, grapes, cheese, walnuts and onion
  2. Now, drizzle the dressing over salad and toss to coat the salad evenly  
  1. 3.Grape and Prosciutto Crostini

If you are looking for an appetizer that combines sweet and savoury, look no further than this crostini. Goat cheese, prosciutto, grapes and rocket make for a yummy starter.



  1. Bring a chargrill or heavy-based fry pan to medium/high heat
  2. Now, slice the bread thinly on an angle and brush with olive oil on both sides
  3. Place bread slices in batches on the hot pan and press down with a spatula
  4. Once golden and crisp, turn and repeat the process, removing crispy bread slices onto a platter
  5. To make the dressing, lightly whisk together the vinegar, olive oil, honey, salt and pepper to taste
  6. Place a half slice of prosciutto on each grilled bread slice
  7. Now, top with a little goat’s cheese, a few wild rocket leaves, and 2-3 green and red whole grapes
  8. Drizzle honey and balsamic dressing over the crostini and serve immediately
