1. Eyeball Tacos

These eyeball tacos are adorably cute and so delicious! Plus, they are so easy to whip up, you can make a whole batch at home to cheer up your kids with a little bit of Halloween fun.

Ingredients

• 1 lb of ground chicken
• 1(1 1/4 ounce) package of taco seasoning mix
• 12 taco shells
• 3⁄4 cup of salsa
• 3⁄4 cup of sour cream
• 1 tomato, small cubes
• 1small head of lettuce, sliced into small confetti squares
• 1(2 1/4 ounce) can of black olives, sliced
• 1 cup of cheddar cheese, Shredded in long layers

Instructions

1. Mix the meat with the seasoning mix. Add extra spices if needed. Shape half of the mixture into 24 (1-inch) balls; place in a baking pan and bake at 350 F for 15-20 minutes or until it is cooked through.
2. Brown the remaining seasoned ground meat and add the salsa.
3. Fill each taco shell with a thin layer of ground meat, sour cream, lettuce, and the tomatoes.
4. Position the 2 meatballs inside the taco shell and add a dollop of sour cream on them. Garnish with some olives to make the “eyeballs.” Spread the cheese out on top for the stringy hair.

2. White Chocolate Ghosts

These white chocolate and dried fruit bites are perfect for some ghostly fun! This sweet and spooky party dessert will look adorable at your dinner table!

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cup of white chocolate, chopped into chunks and melted
• 3 dozen pieces of dried fruit
• 2 tablespoons of dried blueberries
• 1 tablespoon of Healthy Alternatives Roasted Sunflower Seeds

Instructions

1. Line two large baking sheets with some parchment paper. Transfer the chocolate to a small, deep bowl.
2. Working with one piece of fruit at a time, dip one end into the chocolate, leaving only the last quarter inch exposed; shake off the excess chocolate and transfer the dipped fruit to the baking sheet.
3. Drizzle a bit of extra chocolate around the bottom left and right sides to form the shape of a ghost, then use the blueberries, currants or sunflower seeds to make the eyes.
4. Repeat this process with the remaining pieces of fruits and chocolates and then chill them until they are completely set, about 1 hour.

3. Hot Spiced Cider

Hosting an old-timely Halloween party? Then, this hot and spiced cider is a must-make Halloween drink for you! Add a renaissance touch to your mocktails in just a few simple steps.
In addition to familiar lemon and cinnamon notes, molasses gives this cider a sweet kick.

Ingredients
• 2 quarts of apple juice
• 1/2 cup of molasses
• 4 lemon slices, cut in half
• 12 whole cloves
• 2 (2-inch) cinnamon sticks
• 1/4 cup of lemon juice

Instructions

1. Bring the cider and the next 4 ingredients to a boil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally; reduce the heat, and simmer for 15 minutes.
2. Remove the cinnamon sticks and the cloves with a slotted spoon; stir in the lemon juice.
3. Garnish with the cinnamon sticks, lemon wedges and the cloves, if desired.

4. Sweet And Spicy Pumpkin Seeds

What is Halloween without any pumpkin delights? Munch on these sweet and spicy pumpkin seeds all night long for a healthy yet tasty party snack.

Ingredients

• 1 cup of Healthy Alternatives Raw Pumpkin Seeds 
• 5 tablespoons of sugar
• 1⁄4 teaspoon of salt
• 1⁄4 teaspoon of Healthy Alternatives Organic Whole Cumin, ground
• 1⁄4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
• 1⁄4 teaspoon of ginger powder
• 1 pinch of cayenne pepper, to taste
• 1 1⁄2 tablespoons of peanut oil

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 250°F.
2. Spread the seeds on a cookie sheet, bake for 1 hour, stirring occasionally, for about one hour.
3. Combine 3 tablespoons of sugar, salt, cumin, cinnamon, ginger and cayenne in a bowl.
4. Heat the peanut oil in a large skillet over high heat.
5. Add the pumpkin seeds and the remaining 2 tablespoons sugar.
6. Cook until the sugar melts and the seeds caramelize. (about 45 seconds).
7. Transfer to a bowl with spices and coat well. Let them cool and serve.

5. Halloween Carrot Fingers

Carrots and cream cheese are a  match made in heaven! This easy veggie appetizers are great way to get the party started, this Halloween.

Ingredients

• 1 cup of cream cheese dip
• 4 long carrots
• 1 medium carrot
• 5 Healthy Alternatives American Almonds, sliced

Instructions

1. Fill a serving bowl with the cream cheese dip.
2. Wash and peel 4 long carrots for the fingers and 1 medium carrot for a thumb.
3. With a paring knife, cut a flat, shallow notch in the tip of each carrot.
4. Then use a dab of dip or some softened cream cheese to glue a sliced-almond fingernail atop each notch.
5. Stick the fingers in the dip and serve with baby carrots or crackers for dipping.

6. Frankenstein Guacamole

Ingredients

• 3 medium ripe avocados, peeled and cubed
• 1/4 cup of onion, finely chopped
• 3 tablespoons of fresh coriander, minced
• 2 tablespoons of lemon juice

Tortilla chips
Sour cream, refried beans and ripe olives, optional

Instructions
1. In a small bowl, mash the avocados with a fork. Stir in the onion, coriander, lime juice and the salt.
2. Spoon the guacamole onto a platter; shape into a rectangle. Place the chips near the top of the head.
3. Decorate the face as desired with the sour cream, refried beans and the olives.
