Christmas Brunch Ideas To Start Your Day

This Christmas brunch lays out some of these dishes which are absolutely easy to create and will make your family’s brunch very merry!

  1. Panettone French Toast Casserole

Ingredients:

1 large panettone

1 ½ cups cherry jam

8 ounces cream cheese[D2] 

3 ½ cups half and half

6 large eggs[D3] 

¼ cup granulated sugar [D4] 

1 tsp. pure vanilla extract [D5] 

½ tsp. ground cinnamon[D6] 

¼ tsp. kosher salt [D7] 

½ cup blanched sliced almonds[D8] 

[D9] for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Start by greasing the baking dish with butter and set aside
  2. Now, cut the panettone into 1-inch thick slices
  3. Spread the jam on the half slices and spread the cream cheese on another half
  4. Press 1 slice against each other to form a sandwich
  5. Now, cut the sandwiches into 1-inch squares and arrange in a random manner
  6. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt
  7. Now, pour this mixture on the panettone and cover with the plastic wrap and refrigerate up to at least 6 hours
  8. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius and remove the plastic wrap from the dish
  9. Now, sprinkle some almonds on top and bake until puffed brown and the custard is set
  10. Set it for 1 hour 10 minutes and let it cool for 20 minutes before serving
  11. Dust some of the confectioner’s sugar on top and serve!


    2. Deep Dish Hash Brown Ham And Cheese Quiche

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over a medium heat
  2. Now, add the onion and cook stirring continuously until golden brown for 5-6 minutes
  3. Add the mushrooms and cook for about 2 minutes until they begin to brown
  4. Season with salt and pepper and continue stirring until soft
  5. Now, add in the spinach and cook until soft
  6. Once done, remove from the heat and let it cool
  7. Brush the baking dish with olive oil and arrange the bread in the dish with a single layer
  8. Now, spoon the mushroom-spinach mixture on top
  9. When ready to bake, preheat the over to 220 degrees Celsius and crack an egg
  10. Now, pour the milk evenly over the top and sprinkle with cheese.
